Genesis 38:9

SV	Doch Onan, wetende, dat dit zaad voor hem niet zoude zijn, zo geschiedde het, als hij tot zijns broeders huisvrouw inging, dat hij het verdierf tegen de aarde, om zijn broeder geen zaad te geven.
WLC	וַיֵּ֣דַע אֹונָ֔ן כִּ֛י לֹּ֥א לֹ֖ו יִהְיֶ֣ה הַזָּ֑רַע וְהָיָ֞ה אִם־בָּ֨א אֶל־אֵ֤שֶׁת אָחִיו֙ וְשִׁחֵ֣ת אַ֔רְצָה לְבִלְתִּ֥י נְתָן־זֶ֖רַע לְאָחִֽיו׃
Trans.	wayyēḏ^a‘ ’wōnān kî llō’ lwō yihəyeh hazzār^a‘ wəhāyâ ’im-bā’ ’el-’ēšeṯ ’āḥîw wəšiḥēṯ ’arəṣâ ləḇilətî nəṯān-zer^a‘ lə’āḥîw:

AC	ט וידע אונן כי לא לו יהיה הזרע והיה אם בא אל אשת אחיו ושחת ארצה לבלתי נתן זרע לאחיו
ASV	And Onan knew that the seed would not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest he should give seed to his brother.
BE	But Onan, seeing that the offspring would not be his, went in to his brother's wife, but let his seed go on to the earth, so that he might not get offspring for his brother.
Darby	But when Onan knew that the seed should not be his own, it came to pass when he went in to his brother's wife, that he spilled [it] on the ground, in order to give no seed to his brother.
ELB05	Da aber Onan wußte, daß der Same nicht sein eigen sein sollte, so geschah es, wenn er zu dem Weibe seines Bruders einging, daß er ihn verderbte zur Erde, um seinem Bruder keinen Samen zu geben.
LSG	Onan, sachant que cette postérité ne serait pas à lui, se souillait à terre lorsqu'il allait vers la femme de son frère, afin de ne pas donner de postérité à son frère.
Sch	Da aber Onan wußte, daß der Same nicht sein eigen sein sollte, ließ er es, wenn er zu seines Bruders Weib ging, auf die Erde fallen und verderbte es, um seinem Bruder keinen Samen zu geben.
